programming mitsubishi remote

Ridiculously enough some L200 have dealer approved aftermarket alarms fitted which may cause the reprograming not to work! However here is the process anyway...

Locate the diagnostic connector, 16 pin connector normally under the dash near the drivers right knee.
The earth the top left pin(Pin #1), simply run some wire from here to a solid piece of bare metal under the dash.
Close all doors
Turn ignition switch to ACC position and then back to OFF 3 times within 10 seconds
Doors should lock and unlock
Press remote lock or unlock button once
Press lock or unlock button twice within 10 seconds
Doors should lock then unlock

Repeat within 1 minute for any other remotes you wish to program.

Remove earth wire.

Done

If this does not work then unfortunately you will need to visit a dealer to get it reprogrammed as you have an aftermarket alarm system fitted, but hopefully it should be ok

gm remotes programming

http://www.wikihow.com/Program-GM-Keyless-Remotes

This is how to program GM keyless remotes. (NOTE - The GM dealer will charge $40.00 to do this 1 minute task - what a rip!)

1

  1. Close all the vehicle doors.

  2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder - do not turn ignition switch.
  3. 3
Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch (This is the switch on the door, NOT the remote).
  4. 4
While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
  5. 5
Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock one time to confirm the program mode is activated.
  6. 6
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button on one keyless remote for approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
  7. 7
Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
  8. 8
Turn the ignition switch to the ON (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
  9. 9
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

Smart Keys - key-less entry - proximity - ??!!!

A beautiful and awsome addition to cars , smart keys ...

I need to set a clear definition for the following terms

keyless go - key less entry - proximity - smart key - IR keys - push to start

I - Keyless go

A system that enables the driver to lock and unlock the car without using keys ..or pushing remote buttons!

so, as long as you carry the {smart key} when you pull the car door handle the car automatically unlocks  and open the door . door handles got sensors , and some has buttons, you push the button and the door unlocks if you carry the smart key

II - key-less entry

Unlocking the car without a key, using a remote, pressing the remote's button  to lock / unlock the car.

III - Proximity

Proximity sensors are

Proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact.  Wikipedia

So I guess it's a term that refers to keyless Go systems

IV - Smart Keys

smart keys are sweet .. I love 'em , it's just opening the car and turning the ignition on without using a key, the metal key, the blade itself .

in some cars u'll find a button instead, and the "smart key" is placed in a dock, where the car can read it's code and if it the correct smart-key, it'll start .

smart keys has different shapes, there are card like keys, as in renault and mazda , there are some nicely shaped fobs as in the merceds or BMW smart keys. let's quote something from Wikipedia :

Smart key is an electronic access and authorization system which is available as an option or standard in several cars. It was first used by Mercedes-Benz in 1998.  Wikipedia

For the record, mercedes benz always do things first :) .

V- IR Keys

I don't know much cars that used IR keys in thier systems, just Mercedes benz,  these are Keys that uses Infra Red to transmit signals between the car and the key.

VI- Push To start :

look at the picture :

this video should be convenient :

Omega Programmer

Not all of us experts in electronics field. I thought about making a small guide out of my experience, to help those who use omega programmer … not to get hurt :)
I faced two or three situations when I ended up with a dead mcu, or at least I couldn't obtain dump from it.. so I hope someone would learn from my mistakes..
Omega programmer is dedicated for cars work, typically for immobilizers among some ECUs, which makes it very suitable to our job, however, there are many other top ranked programmers out there.
I'll start with some necessary identifications :
-         omega base unit :
-         omega SE

-         omega MTRK
-         omega flash
-         omega TMS
  • adapters

  • adapters

SUZUKI !!!!!!!!! GRAND VITARA

Great work with this car,
Year : 1999
Ecu: Denso
Immo Mitsubishi
ID 4C
This time it's not a lost key, and i want to take this chance to say, when it's a lost key it's much easier, it's a direct work, but in some situations, like today's Suzuki, the key exists, but the car still doesn't start ...
Alright, it seems that all suzuki cars has this problem, whenever the battery goes flat or someone misses up with the wiring and so, the ECU gets locked .. in some way..
Notice that you can program another key, using OBDII , or directly from the Immo. but still the car won't start..
The only solution I know so far is using Tcode Pro .
As for me(Because I don't have Tcode of course) ,  I had to edit the eeprom in the ECU myself to make it accept the key..
But be carefull, I damaged the eeprom while desoldering it, Good that we had another ECU.

Fiat FIORINO 1997

FIAT FIORINO, ...
Basic info :

  • Ecu is bosch motronic,

  • Immobiliser : immo 01.01

  • Transponder:  Id 11
The car arrived to me few months ago with keys lost
but we didn't have agreement with the owners at that time, although we already prepared a key for it..
Later,.. a week or so ago, we learnt that the car was sold in an auction.
the buyers are friends of us,.. they called asking for a solution..
Having seen the this car before, the car wasn't much work really.. just coded the key using data in the immobilizer, the programming made by Zedbull device.
Here is where the problem began,.. because two days after the car had ran smoothly, we've been called again, the car immo lights are on.
We tried to reprogram the key, but stll it didn't work,..
Then we tried to read the MCU in the immobilizer again,.. to notice that the data inside it hasn't changed.
now we started working with the Bosch ECU
The Eeprom inside is 24c02, after many many trials, over about three days, in which the car worked for an hour or two, then the lights turned on again, we found out the follwoing...: The ECU writes back to the eeprom, after we edit it's dump..
This happens whether we disabled the Immobilizer, or kept it working - as I said, there was no problem with the immo itself or the key.
Eventually, we replaced the eeprom with another one , added a working dump, let the car work,.. unplug the ECU again, and left the 7th pin;connect it to pin8 to WP the eeprom ..
The car worked perfectly for three days, til the owner decided to wash the car, and filled the ECU with water!!!!

Lucky he was, cleaning the ECU from inside was enough, nothing was damaged . The car is working again.

 Summery:
Programmed key with Zedbull, but the problem was in the ECU, used virgin dump, and immo off dump, problem remains.
Must WP the eeprom.
Why did  the car immo turn back to activated after an hour or two??
