Fiat Punto 2002
This happened last year, in April or May 2012
Careful doesn't defeat Fate .. The Owner is a nice man, he came asking for a spare key, and he literally said, "Does it involve any risk? Will there be any problems? a friend of mine had to replace the ECU and Ignition system for this "
Well, of course I assured him there are no problems, "what risk would we face? If there are risks no one would be in the business . "
I wasn't exaggerating, everyone knows this work should be a piece of cake!
By that time I had Tango to code the transponders and extract the pin-code, then program them directly to the car.
So I asked the Owner to come back after an hour, and I had to take off the BCM, and starting working on the cute little sweet Eeprom. which of course got broken while de-soldering.
!
!
You can imagine what I tried by then, at least extract the file! no use to say anything now, we have to figure out a solution. The owner called, and I asked for more time , he began to worry of course.
I contacted my partner, for any dump files he got for a fiat 2002 BCM, I also contacted some friend near me, who, fortunately provided me an eeprom from another BCM,
OK I used the other eeprom, and well, I knew I'll need to program something here or there, but I tried and turned on the car with the spare keys and thought my problems were solved, but now .
There was a problem with the car, several problems actually,
First, the engine wasn't running smoothly, it's like not all injection units are functioning, now I don't have that much experience with mechanics, I can't tell what this problem is, but anyway, we took the car to some specialist to check it, another problem was that the speedometer doesn't display the correct speed, the car engine cuts all the time, and.. the air conditioner is not functioning properly !
three days, I spent three days with this car, trying everything I can. I had my Commander upgraded with engine re-tuning for fiat cars, ECU flashing to be accurate.
